((although I have another RP occuring at the moment with Irishman in this forum, I guess I was 'itching' to write something. I'll still continue writing on the other RP but it's not my turn as of yet. Everyone is welcome to post in this RP, 'hang out,' eat cookies, drink wassail or your favorite beverage and have lots of fun)) Creos nae amin vand=Welcome to my home Bre'Cheye had been a part of the Wizards & Warriors clan for a few weeks now. And although the room she had been staying in above the Towne Square Tavern was comfortable, Bre'Cheye felt she needed something more. So out in the area she went scouting for small cottages that might be available to live in. The first half of her day was spent going through rat infested one room apartments in the side of town that she would rather not live in, and the second half was spent looking at large and spacious mansions that she would never be able to afford. It was beginning to get dark and and she was just about ready to give up when she saw a over-grown path leading down a short trail in the woods. Summoning a glow-stone, she held the rounded orb in her palm as she made her way down the path. And at the end was the cutest little cottage: gray with blue trim and it appeared to even have a second story. Not seeing anyone around, she stepped to the door and turned the knob which to her surprise and delight was unlocked! Once inside, she let the glow-stone expand and hover in the air; the entire room now was flooded with a warm glow. The room she stood in was the 'living room,' with a double window next to the door. To her right was a cobble stone fireplace that needed cleaning but looked as though it would hold a good fire. A spacious kitchen was on the back of the house with a grand stove that even Toki could appreciate. Another room on the right side of the house looked as though it could be a bedroom, with double doors that led to the side of the house. Back in the living room, she opened a door that stood on the left side of the fireplace and found a flight of stairs that led to two more bedrooms. Deciding to come back in the morning, she took her glow-stone (which she had made smaller) and started to leave the cottage. A note that had been tacked on the door was now visible as she closed it. "I don't remember seeing this when I first opened it." She took the note and read it, 'Contact Lawrence Weger for lease agreement.' She folded the note and put it in her purse. A quick look around the yard gave her plenty of ideas for future improvements: a nice flower and vegetable garden, double swing under one of the trees, wooden chairs here and there for all her clannies... she smiled and made her way back to the Towne Square Tavern with plans on moving very soon.

She stood at the door of the little gray house with blue trim with a key in her hand and a smile on her face; Bre'Cheye was finally moving into a house of her own. After several hours of cleaning the lower floor, she made her way up the stairs to do the same. With the money she had been earning, she managed to buy some used furniture to furnish the house modestly, or at least to her liking.
The fireplace in the living room had a nice inviting fire dancing along the logs, the comfy chairs that sat here and there in the room sat waiting for someone to claim them, and the cookies were cooling in the kitchen. She had placed a swing out in one of the trees and when it got warmer, she would attempt to plant a flower and vegetable garden.
Sitting at the desk in the bedroom she had chosen on the ground floor, she pulled out a piece of paper and a pen to write a short note:
Dear W&W clannies,
Just wanted to let you know that I have taken up residence in a small gray house with blue trim just outside the Towne Square. Everyone is welcome to drop by and I'll do my best to always have some cookies ready.
Hope to see you soon,
Bre
She sealed the note and cast a simple spell on it, causing it to disappear. She knew that in a matter of seconds, it would arrive to the desk of her leader, Sirinnu. For now, she was turning in for she had had a long day of cleaning, moving furniture in and cooking. She checked all the doors, and satisfied they were locked, crawled beneath the pile of quilts to fall asleep almost as soon as her head hit her pillow.

As he sat in the darkening woods nearby the small gray house, Kaelan leaned against the tree to reflect on his life and to wonder why the hell he was even here; why did he have to always feel he should honor the wishes of his cousin to track down this thorn in his side.
With his knee bent and his hand resting there, he held what had at first seemed to be a worthy meal. And as usual, his thoughts ran to a time when he had been married and excited over their newborn son. Becca had almost died giving birth to Rory from a fever that had been spreading across the country. Then in his mind he could see her as the life slowly drained from her face while she loosely held their wailing son. He threw the piece of stewed rabbit he had been holding as far into the woods as he could, when the memory of his son dying came next.
Standing to stare at the soft glow of lights shining from the small house, his thoughts turned from a feeling of sudden love to honor and finally to downright irritation. His loyalty to his best friend, her brother, had stopped him from claiming her as his own and the fact that he now was half way around the world in the cold dark woods tracking her brought about the irritation he felt toward her.
Cursing under his breath, he sat back down to stare at the embers of the fire he had created using one of his Cleric spells. He swore that when he got her back home he would throw her in the nearest dungeon and sell the key to the highest bidder. And yet, deep in his heart he would do no such thing.
With his head against the bark of the tree, he pulled his cloak closer around his neck and closed his eyes to wait out the morning sun. "Breezy, why must you be so much trouble?"

As he took his daily walk through the forest, Dathron suddenly smelled something new and exciting: SNICKERDOODLES! He dashed through the trees as fast as humanly possible, before finding the pretty little cottage where Brecheye stood. With a quick "hello Brech", he dashed past her into the cottage and found the plate of fresh cookies.
It's okay, little guys. I'm here!

She stepped back as Dathron rushed passed her to the plate of snickerdoodles she had baked especially for him. Smiling, she followed and watched as he devoured the last morsels left on the plate. "Good that you stopped by. I don't like snickerdoodles and I was wondering what I was going to do with them." She sat at the table in the middle of the kitchen to wait for the timer to go off for the macadamia chocolate chip cookies that were expanding in the oven. Pouring herself a glass of milk, she added, "I hope you can hang around to help me with those cookies. Oh! And the next time you are in the mountains near the dragon, see if you can get me some dragon eggs; I need them for some cookies I want to make for Sirinnu."

The loud ringing of a timer could be heard sounding off in the warm kitchen where BreCheye had been sitting at the table day-dreaming. As she got up to get the freshly baked cookies out of the oven, she cast a glance toward the living room; unsure if Dathron were still there.
Reaching into the oven, she swore under her breath as the potholder evidently had seen it's better days. She stuck her burnt fingers in her mouth then doubled the cloth over to pull the tin out of the oven. She placed the cookies in the middle of the table to cool then made her way to the porch at the side of the house where she sat in a wooden chair. As she stared out across the various types of trees in the forest, she never felt more alone than what she felt at that moment.
She leaned her head against the back of the chair and closed her eyes in effort to bring up a link to any of her three siblings. But they evidently were off in some raid or other activities.
The evening was well on it's way and it didn't look like anyone else was going to show up. Sighing, she got up from the wooden chair and slowly walked back into the silent little house to turn in for the night.

Stumbling in from the rain, the wandering bard found a warm chair near the fireplace. "I wonder if there's any good tea available," he mumbled to himself. He flagged down a serving maid and ordered a warm cup of black tea, then promptly rested his feet in front of the fire, waiting for the heat to warm his bones.

She could hear the sound of stumbling feet over the pelting of the rain on the windows and knew that someone had entered her small cottage in the dead of the night. Wearing footed jammies and armed with her Teddy Panda Bear, she cautiously peeked into the room that was lit by the burning fire in the fireplace. It was Toki, and he was waving his hand around like he was trying to summon a maid or some other manner of imp.
"Toki? Are you okay? I baked you some cookies, let me get them for you."
Still clinging to the Teddy Panda bear, she made her way to the kitchen; almost tripping over a passed out Dathron who was covered in Snickerdoodle cookie crumbs.
Before an orc could blink an eye, she was standing with the Teddy Panda bear under one arm and holding a tray of warm black tea with piles of macadamia chocolate chip cookies. She set the tray down on the table before sitting on the far side of the room in the chair that held the orcish blanky.
"I hope you like the cookies and tea," she whispered for fear of waking the over-cookied Dathron. Grabbing the orcish blanky and her teddy panda bear, she once more felt she was home.

*LIP had heard word of a small gathering that was taking place in a little cottage in the woods nearby. With a backpack packed, he strapped on his crystal boots, pulled the cover from his Harley and set out on his morning ride and decided to stop over and see what all the hubbub was about. The rain had ceased and the air was crisp and clear. He smiled as he thought that it felt like a scene from a movie; The cool air blowing his mohawk back, his ipod playing some new music, and the sky looking quite blue with fluffy white clouds. He was glad to see the dark rainclouds had gone away until another time. Torn from the usual paved roads from which he had become accustomed to, he followed a dirt road by the name of "Less Traveled By," and after some time of passing boulders, trees, occasional woodland creatures and even crossing a beautiful wooden covered bridge he arrived at an overgrown path where a sign read: "Bre's Cottage - All Invited."
He chuckled lightly to see soo much grass around such a stunning home and said to himself, "If only I had a truck, I woulda brought my lawnmower and weedwacker to do a little yard work." He stopped there and in a quick fluent motion he dismounted the bike and began to push it up the path so as not to rip up the already muddy ground. There he had passed a gentleman who he had not been formerly introduced to. Quietly sleeping against a tree, he snored softly. "I'd best not wake him" LIP murmered as he walked past a swing that reminded him of his grandmothers house during childhood years. He approached the door and knocked gently. A half asleep Brecheye had opened the door, and rubbed her eyes. With one arm in a seeming "bearhug" around the teddy she yawned and said "Oh hi, Come on in LIP, Nice to see you!"
LIP wiped his feet and entered the cottage. Upon removing his boots he saw some Crystal Boots that looked awfully familiar. "I see Dath is here eh?" LIP asked and he heard a reply from another room, "And so am I!" LIP knew this voice quite well. It was Toki.
The smell of cookies and tea filled the house, and nearly put LIP into a slight dreamworld as he was walking into the room when suddenly he took a spill!! A loud thud had echo'd, as LIP hit the ground. As toki and bre laughed merrily, LIP returned to his feet and saw Dath covered in cookie crumbs lying on the floor. Dath barely moved an inch and continued his sleep in an unaffected manner. After dusting himself off and cracking his back, he took a seat on the floor by the fireplace. "I saw you walking around my neighborhood the other day and you seemed somewhat scared as if you were on the wrong side of town!" They all chuckled as she told of that days experiences in "home hunting." Then LIP remembered his backpack! Without hesitation, he pulled out a brand new oven mitt made from the finest quality fabrics on this side of Shangala. "I heard you've been doing alot of baking lately and i thought I'd bring you a little house warming gift! Its not much, but I'm sure you'll get alot of use out of it, and it will benefit us all!!"
They enjoyed their tea and cookies while some gossip and tales were swapped between them just as the traders trade their tradables. The subject of the W&W birthday had now come up, and LIP exposed a new idea.. "Hey bre," he said eagerly, "How would you feel about having a W&W get together here in your new home for the upcoming birthday? I think it would be a perfect atmosphere to have some drinks, if the weather's nice we can even have a campfire! I'd even be willing to help decorate and get ready for everything even! We could have streamers hanging here! Some helium balloons tied out there.. Toki's new creation "Toki Torches" would look great set up around the swing! We can consider it a house-warming party as well as the W&W birthday party! I hear we've got alot of people around here that like to fish also, and the stream by the covered bridge would be perfect for them!

As she sat in the corner holding onto her teddy panda bear, she was roused out of her 'half-sleep' by a sound she had never heard in all of her young life. The roaring sound was off in the distance but she could tell it was approaching her cottage. And then as quickly as she had heard it, the sound ceased. With her stuffed bear in hand as her only weapon, she cautiously made her way toward the double windows near the front door and peered out. Not seeing anyone or anything right away in the dark, she continued looking until her Wood Elf eyes adjusted to the lack of light. "What is that..." her thought trailed off as she caught sight of a two-wheeled object.
She jumped at the sound of a knock to her door, but upon opening it she relaxed to discover a fellow clan-mate, LIP, as he was affectionately known by those who knew him. She greeted him and quickly invited him into her warm cottage.
When LIP tripped over Dathron, she tried not to giggle but it was just too much of a temptation not to. She laughed outloud, joining Toki's jovial giggles. Offering LIP some cookies and a cup of hot tea, she sat back in her chair and pulled her feet up under herself before grabbing for the orc blanky.
In answering his question he had directed toward her about his side of town, she shook her head and smiled, "No, I wasn't scared. I probably was a bit pre-occupied. If I was frightened at all, it was from my recent experience in the tavern by a group of burley outlaws, who as it turned out was actually after a certain Bard. I suppose they found what they were looking for and have long since departed.
I was actually quite lucky to find this little cottage. It's a bit weathered and needs some fixing up but I think with some paint and some weed pulling it will look rather grand. It certainly is nice to have a place such as this after a day of killing dragons, harpies...." at this point she lowered her voice to a barely audible whisper, "golems."
At his mention of baking, she smiled proudly at her recent accomplishments that were actually a success. Her cooking, at times, usually turned out to be a gigantic flop. "Oh yes, I've had fun experimenting with various cookie flavors and those two," she said, nodding her head toward Toki and Dathron, "are more than happy to oblige me to test them out."
She took the gift that LIP offered her and immediately tried it on, admiring it as if it were as a diamond ring. She couldn't have been more pleased if it were a rare jewel, for to her things of great monitary value was worth less than simple items. "This is perfect! I love it, and yes!! it will come in handy." Taking it off, she held onto it as well as the stuffed bear, protecting both.
After a bit of conversation about this and that, the subject of the clan's birthday party came up and she nodded her head up and down, agreeing with LIP, "That is a wonderful idea to have a party here, I wouldn't mind it at all. But of course, it's not up to me for such desicions. I would be willing to provide the location and cookies, if that's what the others would like. I guess time will only tell."
Digesting his words and suggestions, she finally asked him, "What is a helium balloon? And when you approached my cottage, did you hear a great roaring? It must have been a jaguar. I wouldn't think they would come this far out of Azteca, maybe it was hungry. Oh and yes, I'd love to see some Toki Torches, I guess I've missed knowing about those."
She sat in her chair in the soft glow of the fireplace, admiring the gift LIP had given her and enjoying the gathering of her friends. "Too bad Gawayn and Sirinnu aren't here, I could use them as test subjects for the macadamia snickerdoodle oatmeal chocolate chip cookies that are almost finished baking."

~*~*~*~*~After the Grand Birthday Party~*~*~*~
The 4th Birthday Party for the Grand Clan Wizards & Warriors had been a tremendous success with many people either just stopping by or participating in the many contests and games available; a few had even found their way to the Ballroom for a dance or two.
The weekend festivities were finally over, the gigantic cake seriously dented by everyone enjoying it's delicate flavor and everything around W & W was slowly getting back to normal.
Bre'Cheye sat in her darkened cottage alone after having placed the feathered head-dress on the dresser of her downstairs bedroom. She looked in the mirror to make sure that all of the heavy party make up was gone; she looked normal, like the "foresty'' Druid she was.
The cottage was silent with the exception of the creaking and settling of the little old abode and the occasional sound of some animal outside. Slowly, she made her way to sit on the side porch before turning in. She thought of all who had attended, and who had been unable to attend. One of which that was unable to attend, she couldn't make her heart decide how that felt. But one thing she did know, she missed the friends she had first made when coming here; the friends who now chose to pretend she no longer existed.
She bowed her head and frowned, hating the feeling of being alone. Was this her destiny? To feel alone while being surrounded? Sniffing, she wiped the back of her hand across her cheek then leaned back to stare at the stars in the skies.

Bre'Cheye stood in the bedroom on the lower level of her small cottage buttoning the last button of a tan cotton shirt she had tucked into her brown leather hunting leggings. She opened the trunk at the end of her bed and pulled out a jacket made out of dragon scales which she pulled on over her shirt and one by one, she pushed the brown pearl buttons through the small holes along the edge of the opposite side. The brown boots that were beneath the jacket in the trunk were lined with clear crystal gems along the edging near the top and around the ankle area. A quick glance in the mirror gave her a bit of confidence in preparing for the journey that would take her to the lands of Azteca and Hie Brasil. She cast an invisibility spell on her Spiked Helm so that after putting it on, she appeared not to be wearing anything at all on her head.
The last two items she grabbed on her way out were the Silver Amini Club which she assumed had been carved from some magical tree deep within the valleys of Azteca and the gloves with the same magical clear crystal gems her boots were decorated with.
Holding the club close to herself, she rested her chin on the end of it and breathed in deeply. "Well, I guess I'll be on my way. I only wish that we could hunt in groups like in Norrath."
After leaving her small cottage, she made her way to the docks where she caught a ride on a boat that she felt was cheating the passengers by charging too much money; but what could you do? She sat against the edge of the boat, holding the club close as she fell asleep with the rocking of the waves lapping at the ship's sides.

The sound of some enchanting song woke her up from the nap she had taken while travelling by boat to another land. Bre'Cheye stood at the edge of the boat and shielded her eyes with her hand in an effort to locate where the song was coming from. On a large rock poking out of the waters, sat a woman with long dark hair. Bre'Cheye blinked her eyes and looked again to see that the woman's lower half was scaly like a fish. Nodding to herself, she recognized the creature as a mermaid and willed herself to not listen to the luring song.
Exiting one boat and getting on another, Bre'Cheye headed toward the land of Hie Brasil in hopes of finding another pair of gloves like the one she had been given. She felt a sudden emotion of sadness at the thought of her reason for wanting so much to find another pair but she pushed that aside to concentrate on the course of the boat.
After an hour or so, the boat finally arrived in Hie Brasil and the first thing to greet her was an Armed Gladiator. A few strikes from her club and the Gladiator was more than happy to give up it's treasures. The Harpy's foul odor was almost as powerful as the horendous shrieking made by the half bird half woman made Bre'Cheye cover her ears from the piercing sound. Holding her breath to make the smell not so prominent, she clubbed the beast back and gladly took the loot left behind.
Several Golems followed but each only gave her various gems and no gauntlets, crystal or otherwise. More Gladiators, Harpies, supposed Heroes and Sirens charged but all were no match for the Silver Amini Club. The sun was quickly sinking in the water and so with her treasures in a sack, she took the boat back to the beaches that would take her back to town.
Dragging the heavy sack behind her, Bre'Cheye made her way past the Towne Square then continued on her way into the woods toward her cottage. It had been a long tiring day, both mentally and physically. The only thing that sounded good at that moment as she left the sack of treasures in the living room was her panda teddy bear and the orcan blanket. She fell asleep in one of the chairs by the fireplace, thinking of happier times and wishing for more to come.

(this is about a week or so late... but... better late than never!)
Tonight, like many nights before, Bre'Cheye once again had found herself in Queen Beth's courts with nothing better to do than to mingle amongst the various members of her court. Count Oswald approached her and engaged her in a bit of conversation about his collection of diamonds. She smiled at him as he boasted over and over about the hoards of gems in his lavish castle then replied to his inquiry of her future, "I really don't know what career is in store for me. At one time I thought I might be something, but alas, I fear I feel as though I am nothing right now."
She politely excused herself after Count Oswald thanked her for the delightful conversation then the Countess cornered Bre'Cheye to see if she had any gossip about all the single male population in the courts. She tried to answer her questions with as much knowledge as she had but it was obvious she truely didn't have the answers that the Countess was pursuing. Thanking her, Bre'Cheye added the Countess and Count Oswald as two staunch allies. Slowly, she made her way toward the Queen.
Timidly, she curtsied in front of Queen Beth and asked for favor within the courts. With her head bowed down, the expression of supposed refusal couldn't be seen by anyone around her. As she stayed in her curtsied position, she felt a light touch of cold metal to each shoulder then heard a voice that echoed through the halls:
"Her majesty Queen Beth Marie is pleased to declare that one of her most faithful and loyal subjects, the honorable Bre'Cheye has earned her deepest gratitude and the respect of the Dragon court as a whole.
In recognition of her long standing good works, we are delighted to declare that Bre'Cheye shall henceforth be known as "Seneschal Bre'Cheye!!"
Hearing that announcement, Bre'Cheye slowly lifted her head and smiled at the Queen before passing out from shock of finally reaching the top of ranks beneath the grand Queen.

The excitement of becoming a Seneschal had faded and once more she made her way to her small cottage at the edge of town. The house was dark and silent--almost deadly silent--as she locked the door behind her.
Opening the trunk at the end of her bed, she carefully placed her hunting gear in it's confines along with the weapons she used each time she travelled out to hunt various creatures. The sound of a distant owl hooting made her feel even more alone.
As she closed her eyes in search of peaceful slumber, she thought of her sisters and her brother and wondered if they missed her. And she thought of a certain Cleric, wondering if he ever thought of her. Clutching the teddypanda bear closely, she slowly fell asleep with a wish on her mind; something that only she would know.
