I figured ye ole' watering hole was a better place than any for this issue. It has been a while since I have quested, though I had tried a couple of months ago only to see that the DC "app blocked by security settings" message popped up, which I had never had issues with before. I mean, the applet starts loading, then a small window "app blocked by security settings". What? I accidentally downloaded a bogus update of Java thinking that the problem would be solved, and was then forced to go back and restore my laptop to its previous hard drive settings (seriously, that fake "java" update was EXTREMELY bogus). Anyways, most of my online gaming time has been on a different browser-RPG called Tanoth; I would have built my DC heroes up at least a whole level each if I'd had access to the realm! My main browsers are IE and google chrome, and DC still does not want to work on my 'top. I cannot find the security settings on how to fix this issue, and I've looked everywhere I can think to. I'm not extremely computer savvy and could use some help with this issue, if anyone else has experienced such a thing before. I know I have been absent for a while, but any help that anyone could provide me with is always very much appreciated. Thank you for reading, beloved clan members.
Long live Wizards & Warriors!

I experienced this problem as well. I went to the control panel on the start menu and clicked on Java and changed the security setting to medium. I have to click on run but other then that it works. Kid

Thats the way to sort it K_R. It's because later version of Java don't want to run code from untrusted/unsigned sources. Becasue this is an old game and nobody really wants to fork out for certification we get this error.
You can use older versions of Java - although less secure they may not have the security issue. However Java is a very powerful development tool and can do bad things to your computer if you let all Java apps run loose.
