Hey lamo, glad to see you participating! I just watched the movie the Host and thought it was pretty good. Maybe I'll try reading that book. It had an interesting premise.
I am a really big reader and my favorite author is Robert Jordan. His most well-known series was the Wheel of Time series. I have a lot of books that I really like though. I'm really into Forgotten Realms and Dragon Lance. Also I like the Inheritance series and the Hunger Games was a good read as well. Lots of good books out there. Mostly I read fantasy though.

Hmm I can't say I have a favorite book, but like Raistler I enjoy the Inheritance series, also the Enders Game series was great. I enjoyed the New Jedi Order books, although a lot of people didn't. My favorite author is probably Vince Flynn. He writes espionage type novels which are amazing. I've yet to read one of his books I don't like. I also like John Grisham, he has some good stuff. I really like to read westerns as well. I've a pretty open mind when it comes to books. I try to have a book handy to read as often as possible.

Non fiction?
I'm a big fan of Stephen Donaldson - Thomas Covenant series Also a big fan of Douglas Adams Hitchiker Guide - trilogy of 5. Plus Lord of the Rings of course. One time the movie very almost was as good as the books

Well I haven't 'read' a book in god knows how long, just been listening to audiobooks, mostly on www.archive.org. Not really sure about a favorite author, but a few I like are Katherine Anne Porter, P.G.Wodehouse, and Kingsley Amis. Also the radio series Cabin Pressure, on BBC Radio 4 is really good. Basically just comedy stuff... also Good Omens from Neil Gaiman is on my list of stuff to read, really liked the Sandman series. Ok I'll say P.G. Wodehouse is my favorite right now... reading Very Good, Jeeves right now.

lol its been awhile since iver read as well so no real favorite author but ive read quite a few books in my day....
i read ;ord of the rings twice by the time i was in grade 8 and my grade 5 teacher read us the hobbit which is where my love of the fanteasy genre came from.
I do like the thomas covenant chronicles- stephen r donaldson enders game series- david eddings the sword of truth novels- terry goodkind i also like stephen king but dont think i have ever read one of his books. Goosebumps books when i was in elementary school lol i could read one in 2 hours when i was in grade six. - RL-Stine
But alas its been a very long time since ive picked up a book and read so currently i have no favourite author atm.
