Ok I know that having the Queens blessing stops gear from rusitng. If you cant make the Queens court then oils are the way to go. However I have a question on rust in the bank.
I've been mezzed three times now carrying good items - my latest loss was a 168 SAC and 3 of the 5 SH from a compeition.
The reason I lose these is becasue I'm carrying them so I know what I have on me when it comes to trades. Yes I know you can visit the bank without quests, but it costs money and takes longer.
Anyway I have decided to use storage, but I dont think the queens blessing extends as far as the bank does it? It only covers your backpack contents.
So If i oil everything up and stick it in storage, how long can I expect things to stay unrusted. I've dropped 2 SH a SAC and a Kout into storage, but I'm feared they'll rust and I just wondered if adding rusted knives to storage decresaes teh likeihood of the decent things rusting and also wondered if anyone knows the rate of rsut i nthe bank?
Thanks a lot fella.

it does not cover the storage, however the rust rate in storage is significantly lower, if you choose that route oil everything 5x and check daily, I have like 5-8 storage characters that do the inventory to storage swap on a daily basis..its tedious. remember to keep your stuff oiled, cause I do leave things out on occasion, and I end up with rusted stuff.
yes and doing the knife trick works well too, it just lessens the chance that rust will choose one of your valuables, but then again its random what rust picks

11 Possible solutions: 1. Place items in silver storage BEFORE you quest. Place them in your backpack when you finish. Queen's blessing applies at reset, so as long as items are in your pack by then, you will be fine 2. Make a separate storage charactet to put all your items on. Do not quest with this character and your items will be guaranteed to be safe. 3. Stop getting mezzed. 4. Buy more sage skills. 5. Send all your items to ww armory and you'll never risk rusting or losing them to snakes. 6. When you run out of sage skills, run from PRIESTS in azteca, NINJAS in Shangala, MEDUSAS in Hie brasil, etc. These monsters are ones that can make you lose half your pack. 7. Gain so many wits that you can no longer be mezzed (this is super hard, but eventually semi-possible). 8. Quest until you run out of sage skills, and then use remaining quests in the Queen's Court or a lower questing area that is of little/no risk (fields/forest). 9. Do not use BACKSTAB/IEATSU/BERSERK/HYPNOTIZE on monsters that can make you lose items in your pack (these skills will prevent your sage skill from activating, leaving you vulnerable). 10. Make sure to keep plenty theives insurance in your pack to prevent thievery. 11. As a last resort, throw your computer screen and yell "YEARGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Thanks for teh thoughts Elevens.
Many of those make sense Booking in/out of storage is an idea, but I do not think I am well enough organised to do that. Being strict with yourself and not waltzing around carrying to much stuff.
Sage skills dont help when you accidentally click Hypnotise against a priest. it was purely carelessness on my part - clicking far too fast - Got a bit blasé. It servers me right but it was a painful loss, 2 SAC, 3 SH, £100ms, oils, enchants, scales
They have to take all the decent stuff Why do they not take the rubbish like turnips and food.
Care to elaborate on point 9? If I use bezerk I increase the likelihood of getting mezzed? I sometimes use bezerk - mostly as as econd hit on Warriors and dragons sometimes. I use hypnosis on the warriors i nShangala too - 20% of time I get a wit.

When you use a guild skill, you forfeit the use of your sage skill. So only use your guild skills against monsters that cannot mezz you.
Getting mezzed by jaguars isn't so bad, since they just kill you or make you look like a fool, but priests, mermaids, ninjas, and medusas have the potential to steal your pack items when they mezz you (not all hypnosis is created equal!).

So, if I use a skill - Ieatsu or bezerk against something that can already mez me - like a Jag - and my skill doesn't kill the creature and they then choose to mezz me, becasue I have already used a skill, my sage skills cannot come into play and i will be mezzed for sure (assuming they have opted to mez me) - Is that right?
I do mezz some things - warriors/heros hoping to get a wit, but never try with priests, jags, azteca warriors. Never thought to try a ninja.
So what are definite no-nos to hypnotised, and what are reasonable to have a go at.
Also if I flirt with a mermaid does that make me susceptible to hypnosis? Or are we talking guild skills only rather than charm?
Thanks

Correct. Flirting with mermaids might not be an altogether good idea (inter-species breeding can be messy), but for the purposes of losing items it should be safe (as long as you keep thieves insurance). If you're hanging out in Azteca mostly, the main checklist you need to have is the KEY 3: 1. Bottled Fairies (these protect half your pack if you die) 2. Theives Insurance (duh) 3. Sage skills (these protect from being mezzed). When you run out of sage skills, NEVER EVER EVER enter combat with a priest. Help or run only.
