thanks leo for sharing your toughs! We dont have to all agree or think alike. In fact, since I see this as a new project and not something to replace the known and real Higestats list ever found in DC, , I do see good points about that new idea, , I'm just not sure it would reach its goal, if I do get involved, , I 've always felt stubborn took too much place in the old list, , so I wouldnt want others to think like this about me hehe and indeed, stubborn didnt quest that much, but he was rich and invested lots of valued items to purchase all higestats reaching the tp for many years.. I remember being involved in bid wars with him, , and I'v always lost, , thinking he was overbidding

I think this is a great idea, and I would encourage everyone who wants to participate to do so. Anything that would give additional motivation and fun to questing is a plus in my book. The fact that it can essentially be an inter-clan event makes it even better! I do think it important to delineate between the All-Time and Current lists, whatever names eventually end up being put to them. Having the All-Time list locked away safely means that it'll always be there for posterity's sake. Having a list for active players will give a greater sense of possibility, I think. To borrow a sports metaphor from Stalat: Babe Ruth (or whoever) may have been the best baseball player of all time, but that matters less at a practical level to current players than who is the best in the game today. My point - and Dath's, I'm pretty sure - is not to denigrate the All-Time stats list, but that there is certainly room in DC for honoring past achievements and giving newer/current players a chance to compete. It doesn't have to be an either/or. The existence of one does not automatically lessen the other, honest. I think those who want to participate in this endeavor should be encouraged to do so. If you don't want to have your name on the current list, then don't submit. Simple as that. Hopefully we'll more inter-clan events throughout the summer - some done at SN, some here at W&W! ;D Happy Questing and Good Luck to everyone!

I think this opens the book to a monthly/seasonal/yearly leader board some what similar to your local fishing lake has for trout and bass.

You could also start your own personal high stat list - would be a good thread to start in the goals forum. I do like the format D_S made in the highstat list here at W&W, and it could be kind of fun if people tried to beat their own successes too. Lots of possibilities!!

While it is unlikely that I ill find a highstat, i do have some thoughts.
A high-stat is a high-stat regardless of who found it and when. Just because someone found it 5 or 10 years ago that doesn't change the fact it was a highstat. I personally dont think it is fair to remove folk that some arbitrarily consider inactive. Just because they don't post on forums, they did still find it. A new list would only get folk thinking "John Doe found a X SAC, but I remember that Joe Bloggs found a Y SAC so it doesn't really count"
I've read about hacked items and dont claim to understand them so I do not know how to deal with these items. A cross clan committee may be needed to decide that an item is definitely hacked/fake and if all agree then possibly remove it, but it is difficult.
Anyway that's what I think. It doesnt affect me overly much yet, butmaybe after 5 years of questing I may think differently owning an almost high-stat...

personally I am in favor of having JJ's stuff tentatively removed, give another 6 months to a year, if he no shows in that time just wipe him from the list
I'd also like the idea of spawning some value from items that are under the highstat items by listing holders of items 2 tiers under the highstat for certain items..
Like Gold, Silver, Bronze items.
Like as we know that the 256d DSJ is the highest stat, and there are like 3 248d, and a handful of 240d
other stuff like chucks, amini clubs, SACs (Propose platinum on the 308a that was found), cause there are about maybe 8-9 252a that I know about.
I own a 62a Chuck, one tier under the highstat
this is worthy of mentioning

I'd be for a new list or an active player list. Most of the items on the highest stat list came from one era - the era that occurred after the most recent update... the era where the wheel glitch was used to get these highest stats
