So Stalats running a competition to collect 10 items and the highest stats win a variety of items.
It's going to take me 3 or 4 days of question to get them, and I'll probably sent him a dozen just incase of rust. So therein lies the question. I presume unID gear rusts. So how do you know if it's rusted without ID'ing it?
I make sure I've had queens blessing, but am concerned that one day I forget. Do I oil the unID's stuff too? Does that work?

Just oil the gear 1x and send to the appropriate character that day Dees. I am keeping track of how many you send in and will take over oiling them once I receive

To further answer your question, Dees, yes - UNID stuff does rust, you just can't see if or how much. I always oil any UNIDs if I don't send out somewhere. It's also why I don't make the practice of carrying around any UNIDs unless there's a reason, like this contest.

Cheers Gawayn.
The problem with oiling unID'd equipment is not knowing whether or nots it's oiled by looking at it. You equip the item, then oil it then unequip and go to the next one and equip then oil it. When you've got a big list to get thru - like this comp, then it can get confusing as to whether or not you've oiled it at all.
I thnik it's an idea to send a couple extra - just in case. Or maybe send AS to one character, then GBs to another and so on. At least I only have to look afte 10 of each then.
Know, where is that fish oil.....

theoricaly, , you shudnt have to *use* items you want to oil deesloop (specialy not with unid ones if you dont want to be accused of peeking ). Just make em the top items in your backpack (either *up* em , or *drop*-*oups* em, to put em on top...) then just *use* oil once on each of the items in the list beside. (If you want to oiled 50 items, its not very long, , you drop em all first , then *oups* em by batch of nine, , apply one oil on each quickly, , oups 9 more items , , oil, oups, oil it can be done fairly quickly with just a bit of practice. good luck!

So you dont have to equip it to oil it? I thoughtyou had to equip it so you were wearing it to oil it? Can you oil it while it's in your backpack? Just up it to the top select oil and then the item - while it's still inthe backpack?
Never knew that.
I always equip it - and I dont understand peeking.
