Okay, wasn't real sure where to post this, so please forgive me if its not in the right place. It seems some of our clan members are losing things in the mail quite frequently these days. I just want to remind everyone to double and triple check the spelling of who you are sending it to, before you click send. That extra 10 seconds may save your items from being lost, don't just assume you know exactly where your sending, take your time typing in the name. If you send to a character that doesn't exist, you don't get your items back, I know some people are under the impression the game won't let you send to a non existant character but it will. If you are unsure about a character you can use the "Peer" function to see if its a real character. I am not telling you this for my benefit but rather for yours. In all my time in DC I can not think of a single instance where I've lost items when I've sent it to the right name. I know we've probably all mistyped at some point and that happens to the best of us. It's very easy to become confused about the spelling of a name, as I recently learned in a trade with LeoKnight and I know he can attest to this as well, you want to pay very close attention when spelling. So to sum this all up, make sure you double check where you send the items to, you get once chance with the mail, if you mess it up your items are gone. I hope this helps someone

I can certainly attest to this. sometimes are mind reads in glance, and makes it something we expect. For instance I got Statlat which is clearly wrong. And another instance I caught myself to late sending to a ranking alt minus his number "17". I now use my notebook for more than logging stat gains, I can tell you that

I hope also that helps someone too. Taking care when you type is important and easy to miss-read what you've typed, because you expect it to say something, and your brain can easily
I lost a DSJ sending to Kid_rock, and I thought well perhaps I did miss-spell it so the next time I was ultra ultra careful. It too was lost. So I dont think it's entirely down to users miss-typing or spelling.

No I agree Deesloop, I believe there is coding somewhere that allows for a SMALL chance fo mail getting lost, but I know I've never lost anything. It's just one of those things it seems.

peering is one of the best way to make sure one wont mispell when sending!
by peering just before sending, , you make sure you'll send to the proper name , and it kinda makes you practice the name spelling just before the most important move!
If you can peer it properly, you can rewrite it correctly few seconds after!
With very confusing names, , I try to open in a new tab a post made by that person from the tp! So When I'm on dc applet tab typing the name to the player I want to send to, , I can see at the same time the name with correct spelling up there on the tp tab! (if the player could post on tp or any dc forum, it must be the main character's name, , and this name are always displayed in the tab even if it is not the active window)<
thats also why its important to confirm trades done on TC or TS on the TP ; along with the public confirmation (many witnesses to prevent a scamm) , you have a post made by that person you want to trade with, and the exact spelling of his name at hands if needed).

Ah, Now THAT I didn't know. So spelling and make sure you hit send. Two simple things to check each time.
