In game someone turns up with a magic wheel offering "wondrous" gifts. Does this happen every set of quests? Do the offerings get better as you go through the game? Is there any rhyme or reason to his timings of the visit? Does having more wits make it more liekly you'll win? My son got an Amini club and he was like only level 11 or so. I get stupid things like a troll wart, some paint or a dead cat. No matter what I go for I never win, and Mr fate takes away his luxury items. When will I win that cat? I believe it to be blessed, lucky, blind and enchanted...

The Wheel of Fate happens randomly ONCE per questing day. The offerings are all random, and the prizes can include a small amount 1-10 of ANY item in the game, or 1 of ANY non silver/crystal regular weapons/armor in the game. Some items can ONLY be obtained through the wheel (or item shops).
The timing is randomly selected at the beginning of your questing day (must like, whether you'll wake up with bed bugs, or feeling like a million marks). Sorry, but wits, nor any stat helps improve your chance to get any of the items selected.
Once per 5-6 characters on average you'll get an item from the wheel, I always make sure I choose the BEST items (just in case I choose correctly). Diamonds take 1st priority, then Wheel only items, then Spiked Helmets/Dwarf Axes/Great Helms, etc.
Hope that helps!

One thing I've noticed with that wheel is that when I try to choose the item I want to win, sometimes when clicking on it, my choice doesn't always "stick" I have to click it numerous times to get my choice to stay. (I usually choose the money) Perhaps it's just my imagination, but I usually DO win that money when I am unable to make my choice stay the first time I try clicking it. But not always.

I have to agree Bre'cheye. The money seems to come up at least 50%. Thats a really good success ratio, but for me I look for diamond first also, then things like titan blade or swift boots (those things I can find on my own yet LOL)
