I'm looking to join this clan in a few days if you guys will have me. I'm not exactly new to DC but its been a while, around when enchanting was still uncapped. I did some reading on the forums, brushed up on the new lingo. and made a new char to try and do something I've always wanted to do (getting a wit score > guts !) but just lacked an overall plan/strategy before. Things look good so far. I'm open to any wisdom of more experienced players and hope to make some new friends

Welcome Cosh! Always good to see a new 'face' around here. Just in case you missed some of this grand site, here are a few points of interest to look at: If you are one that enjoys writing, The Parlor of Glory is one place to stop: jackthebear.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rpboardWant to just have some fun with various games? or wonder how some of us have such high post counts? Try the Fun & Games forum: jackthebear.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gamesThere are more games in this forum and some of the games even have contest to win gear for DC: jackthebear.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=contestNeeding an upgrade, check this out: jackthebear.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=uppiesAnd if you would like a sig, there are a few in this forum who would be more than happy to whip one up for you (Toki, myself and a couple others in fact): jackthebear.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=sigsHave unanswered questions about Dragon Court? This forum has almost any answer you would have. And if it's not there, post your question and someone will find the answer: jackthebear.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=questionsAnd finally, this forum you will be able to post poetry or other fine works of written art: jackthebear.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=artThere are plenty of other forums that are just waiting to be explored, especially the first one where we post our Daily Stat Gains or our Best Finds of the Day: jackthebear.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=generalOnce again, welcome to our world... which hopefully will soon become a part of your world! And don't forget to stop by the Towne Square "Tavern" where LOTS of fun is had on occasion. (check my Towne Square Review out in the last forum I posted to see what kind of shenanigans are sometimes experienced) wild.ffiends.com/DCourt/TSquare.stmBreCheye PS: if you'd like, you can call me Bre

Yea, that would be awesome. I need to put together the best possible plan/strategy for how to get the most out of questing stat wise, especially for wits.
My strategy right now for lvl 12 while questing around forests and warren is:
Feed creatures that can be fed, to get the quest back bribe whenever possible to get the quest back Attempt to answer any riddles trade or kill thiefs Help whenever possible, and run if not successful if I can get a quest back
I'm not concerned about gear/money/supplies as I have two high level chars I used to quest with, I just want to get the most out of each quest day for stat gain purposes.
Any extra advice is appreciated.

get trader skills and run from griffons, you can gain wits that way also.. i don't know what all creatures that you can run from and get a wit gain, but if you have at least 3 trader skills, running gives you a good chance of getting the quest back also.. (it'll say something like "you duck behind something, and they run past you")
So you have a chance of gaining a wit without losing a quest this way.. ;D

Running has been my strategy for a while. I gained at least 30 wits a month with that one for quite a while. It does eat up a lot of time on that char, tho. I've found the most successful place to be Hie Brasil - Run from Harpies, kill Golems and Gladiators (both offer great items for trading/selling). Since you've got a few high-lvl chars and likely don't need that, you can run from golems for wits as well. Leaving only 1 monster in that area that doesn't offer wits when running. (Under normal circumstances, that is. )
