My apologies if this has been asked or covered, but I was just wondering if there were any consequences nowadays for overloading your pack severely.
I remember there used to be situations where you could lose some nuts, but I see you just lose quests now.
What happens when you get to 0 quests? Do you go negative? Can nuts get dropped?
thanks Wodin - Den00bing myself again...d**nit

The main consequence of overloading your pack is temporarily losing pack space. We don't go into detail much past that, as it can lead to dishonest playing.

Generally when you reach zero quests, you can't quest anymore.

yep toki is right , we dont like to speak about this all too much since , , I'm not sure if fred himself consider it a bug to get below zero, or if the game was meant for that... between 60 and 100 items in backpack, , I guess its fair (when its yellow screen, backpack overloaded warning), , but loosing quests below zero and having to dump items to move around, , thats a little more boderline

Also... If you log out with more than 100 items in your pack (regardless of clan abilities and all) then every item beyond 100 will be dumped automatically. I cannot remember if the items in the bottom or top of your pack are dropped, but I'm almost certain it's from the bottom.

Thanks for the info guys. I thought I remembered reading somewhere a while ago that if you overloaded your pack, the items were immediately dumped, but I guess that's not the case.
Anyway, this just came up as I was making some DSJs. I don't want to abuse a bug, but I just wanted some information.
Thanks again.

To add a bit of informations, , items in backpack over 100 are automaticly dumped only when a save points is created (dying, logging out, etc.).
To tell the truth, , I have some charies (as raregivaway) receiving many random packages from various players, , I dont log him very often, , rather once a year , I pick up all his mails at once (sometimes 500 items, , then I know what I can distribute, , so I divide the # of rares by #of players (winners of a givaway) , then send everything between the players I want to gift em to asap... I'm not sure if this is abusing a bug or not, , I could just take 100 items at a time, , send em, take more mails, etc... I just feel its not that dishonest to do so, , , O r I wouldnt do it, nor post it. (or take 100 items, dump em, picking up 100 more items, dumping em, etc. until I know exactly how many I have, then calculate how many for each players, then *oups* em , according to how many I want to give in each sending)
but I must always be real cautious when doing so, not to get distracted, and go gaming or questing with a massivly overloaded backpack.... or I risk to loose people donations... or walking around too much with dumped stuff before *oupsing* em, or they will be lost forever (I did loose some very nice items by doing so once, (damn phone) , so I dont recomand it too much)
Well I guess that I feel like sharing some borderline tricks today.... If people want to discuss about it, , I'm open to listen and even change my ways to manage huge storages if everyone think its bug abusing. (I've once asked fred about it all, but never received answer about it, , so , , I'm a bit in the dark myself)

Ethically, I don't think you're abusing it. You are using a glitch in the game, but all you're doing is saving time in distribution of wealth, to make things go quicker. In fact, time is the only benefit you game from doing what you describe. It's not doing so for material benefit or maliciously gain advantage over others, so it seems to be fairly harmless.

my friend an amateur MMA fighter told me that a loss is more important than a win because you have the potential to learn far more from loosing a battle than winning one.
