20 years old and no guide through life mother is gone pain to real to hide you could have stayed but you made your choice didnt get to see your face or hear your voice in my backyard I sit bottle in hand thinkin that it wasn't worth it watchin your boy turn to man I try to act tough and hide all my tears but it's only my girl that I confide in not peers not only alone but also a pauper growin up me my dad and his 2 daughters sunrises bring a fresh day a chance for a new but growin up was too hard to do without you I send you my love as I try not to cry But it's hard not to see you during my final goodbye

WOW! that made my eyes tear up.. ..... Makes me wonder if my 2 kids think the same about their father that bailed on them before they were old enough to remember him. Great job, beautiful poem. P.S. I'll be your mom!
