Hehehe....dedicated to every high school and college student who has been subjected to hours of analyzing stuff that dead people wrote:
Poetic Boxing
Donne is done and Frost is gone Wordsworth had no clue D- ickinson had vague ideas that Poe only knew. Shakespeare thought he had them cornered And that Keats was no true man Along came Plath to share her horrors and Longfellow made his stand. Silently Whitman crept Up toward Bishop’s head And all the poets fell aghast when Hughes announced “We’re Dead.”
edited-- Haha! D ickinson was "thingyinson" lol

lol, i thought you'd get a chuckle out of it. one of these days i may get around to having some of my stuff published (50 pages in 10pt font so far, yeah, I've been writing poems for quite awhile) I wrote that while listening to yet another dull lecture in lit class. (i still disagree with half of his "explanations" of what the poems ment)
there's also my quick summation of most poetry ever wriiten:
English poetry= men trying to get laid Italian poetry= men trying to get laid American male poetry= men who couldn't get laid American female poetry= women who didn't want to get laid in the 1st place.
think about the "famous" poets and try and tell me I'm worng, lol
