Death.
There is nothing in this universe as ruthless or as impartial as death.
All living matter ages over time and eventually dies, no matter how mighty or frail its life force. Therefore, essentially, simply being alive means that you are creeping closer to death with every passing second.
"Res Nullius"- A place and a time which belongs to no one.
History is fully, beautifully and hideously composed of choices and divergences. Each and every choice you make creates a new world and brings forth a new future, an entirely unfamiliar reality; on the opposite side of this spectrum, you are eliminating a different destiny with any choices that you did not make- a future denied any hope of existence because of a change that has been made in the past.
Choice.
It is something that we are all given. Choices are something we all must make at one point or another in our lives, even if the outcome of a choice that has been made leads to our own death, the most certain and unforgiving force in this life. Choice is what everything begins with.
Everything.
When the universe was created, it was because a choice was made. By one Deity, multiple Deities, or whatever it is that you choose to believe. Whomever or whatever it is that you believe made that choice, whatever being or entity, evidence proves that if EVERYTHING begins with choice, so then did existence itself begin.
I myself neither believe in nor deny against the possibility of evolution, but for radical evolutionists to believe that the existence of almost nothing came into the existence of everything we can see, hear, smell, taste, feel, and sense today...... Seems just a little bit far-fetched to me.
The choices that we make lead each of us to our respective destinies, as well as our individual fates. From every single small decision to each major, life-changing choice. When a choice is made, one formerly possible future become completely obsolete, eliminated entirely, while the future we choose to craft for ourselves, no matter how hazy and far-off it may seem, inches ever closer.
Whether there is one supremely almighty Deity or multiple Deities, it is logical to accept that the phenomenal reaches that we have seen in this universe are only a fraction of a fraction of what is truly, actually out there. That being said, this planet which we call "Earth" is less than a tiny blip on the radar screen of whichever being created life.
What is "The Shadow of The Turning"?
It is God.
What is God?
It is The Shadow of The Turning.
Something that we may never understand. At least, not until we reach the most ruthless and impartial force to ever come into this universe.
Death.

I just became active again-with my seven or so characters-and i decided to write something endearing and thought provoking. I actually wrote it a while ago on my facebook page. I was just wondering what everyone thinks of it. Hope to hear from all of you very soon ;D Sorry to be absent for so bloody long.
