Tires screech in the Distance ahead. The scent of burning rubber and gasoline Emanates.
The crunch of metal makes a shriek That chills through the skin Into his very Bones.
He stops.
Panting and panicked, he runs; His eyes absorb the scene before him- A Wreck.
To offer help, he calls out, "Is everyone ok?" For Now, they were.
A monstrous mountain Advanced upon them Without Warning.
The semi truck blares its horn. The tires Cling to pavement.
They don't Cling hard enough.
He sees the mass quickly advancing. So large, it was.
The body knows a Fiend is drawing nearer, too near.
It jumps, to save Itself, Off the bridge.
Rocks below do not forgive this Last mistake.
The Last choice, was not much of one. Death or Death.
How is that fair?
I do not know.
Here we sit, missing David.
We cling to Hope. Still clinging, so tightly.
This was to my wife's cousin, who died this past week because he tried to help someone who was just in a car accident. My heart has been heavy with this latest sorrow in our lives. Being strong for my wife is my great honor and privilege. She misses him greatly and doesn't understand why something like this was happened. Sometimes life hands us such a situation, and we question how could such a thing be fair, how is it right? I don't know answers of "Why?" only that my soul tells me what must be done-that is not to lose hope.

Wow. Those are definitely sorrowful words. I'm gladdened that you are so strong for your wife and family, being their lifeline to hope. I hope that even in these hard times you can cling to hope and find the good things in life that remind us how we're not alone.

I guess, sometimes life isn't fair. I'm lucky enough not to have had anyone close to me die yet, but I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.

Time heals all wounds. I hope you and your family are doing better now. Death is unforgiving when its your time its your time thats all there is to it. Hope and fate is all that keeps us going.
