Deep within a forest of wonder, a town resides. The town is called Melanie, few structures are built but despite the small number it is quite a wonder to behold. Each crafted by ancient Orc design, built elegantly and sturdy, the buildings themselves require more than natural wear and tear to diminish. It has become a post for travelers on adventures to rest and find guidance and aid. One particular building stands tall and proud amongst the others for it is called the Parlor of Glory. In this parlor many tales are told, many drinks are shared, and most importantly many adventures begin...
A sign above the door beckons all who pass by, it reads:
"Here, he who is thirsty shall drink, he who is weary shall rest, he who is hungry shall eat, he who worries will be consoled, he who is in need shall be provided for, and he who seeks shall find."

Unknown woke up, the sun rising in the east. He would have to go soon, but today was not the day. He grabbed his staff, feeling it calm his nerves. Morning wasn't exactly his favorite time of the day, but he got up and walked to check on Divine Auror. He was still sleeping, and he looked fine. So Unknown went downstairs and cooked him, Vyn, and Ignac some breakfast. As time passed, he wondered where they were. He decided to eat without them, they could warm it up, when they got up.

Raistler, having journeyed a fair distance from his home, had heard tell of the famous Inn for travelers. The Parlor of Glory. He knew that there he would find what he needed and wanted to get there as fast as he could. He was eager to begin his quest for becoming strong enough to save him home from the invading horde. He would become strong enough... he would.

Unknown continued sitting, waiting for one of his new friends to wake up. Maybe I should wake them up? What if something happened to them? He had been keeping the breakfast warm, but it was going to ruin if they didn't wake up soon!!! (Half-way OOC) ( )

Raistler finally arrived at the Parlor of Glory. He walked into the grand structure and asks a man near the door,
"is this the place where those seeking greatness come seeking quests to prove their worthiness for glory?"
He patiently awaits a reply...

Unknown looked at the man standing in the doorway.
"I don't know. But you can come in and eat, I have some breakfast all ready."
Unknown sat, waiting for the newcomers reply, while wondering who this man was, and how he had heard of the Parlor of Glory.

"Well thank you my friend. I come seeking a quest and those willing to be my companions. My own story is short, but the it is long as well... but I have no time to share the whole of it."
Raistler sits down at the table with the man and introduces himself, "My name is Raistler, friend."

Vyn landed right outside and felt the familiar presence of his friends. But the presence of the man who laid his hand on Vyn's shoulder.
Vyn spun around and saw himself. Except about 10 years older.
He was wearing a white cape over a fitting black and white suit of sorts. He was also carrying a staff with a large purple gem on it that matched the color of his glasses.
"It is time." Three words fell from the older man's mouth.
The younger Vyn was shocked. "Time for what. I would never alter my own future!"
"It is time for you to learn your true purpose on this earth."
"What are you talking about?" Vyn backed away but it was useless. The cape-clad Vyn raised his staff and they were both hurled from the entire space-time continuum.
All around them translucent globes hung in midair. Each globe was focused on a person. Some were old, some were young, and some seemed to come from different times altogether. Vyn felt blinded by the intensity of white light that was surrounding him. But as soon as he closed his eyes his "copy" handed him the pair of glasses he was wearing. "These are now yours along with this staff."
"I don't understand why are giving these to me?"
"Young and naive. You know not what is called of you after so much trial. I still remember when I was standing in your position, one hundred years ago."
"But you only look ten years older."
"Time slows incredibly in this place of solitude. You will learn all you need to know about this place in due time."
Vyn looked around again, the globes seemed to go on forever. "What am I supposed to do?"
"You are to fulfill the task of keeping time in order. When there is a disturbance caused by the Enemy, you will intervene. But you will not be alone."
A white lion slid between them and roared. The call seemed to shake the entire place but as the roar faded a young woman slid into view.
"Melanie," Vyn breathed.
"Vyn, what's going on? Why are we here... What happened to you? Why do you look so different?"
The older Vyn replied. "You two can now be together on your task. Along with Cyrus, you will be the masters of this realm. Cyrus will be your mentor. He will answer any questions that you have. Now, I must go to the place I have been longing for since my birth. My true home. Our true home. Heaven." He began to rise and a warm violet wind wrapped around him and enclosed him into an envelope of air. He vanished.
At that time Vyn looked down and saw that he was now wearing the clothing that had been on the older Vyn. He looked over at Cyrus and then to Melanie. She threw her arms around him and they embraced, sharing a kiss.
Cyrus purred. "It is nice to see this again. It brings much warmth to my heart."
Vyn looked at the giant cat and asked the question that would reveal everything to him. "What are Melanie and I to do?"
Cyrus gazed at Melanie, piercing her soul. "She must undergo a transformation much as you did."
Cyrus leaped at Melanie but instead of tackling her to the ground he morphed into a vapory aura that surrounded her. She was lifted into the air and a flash of green light spread through her, and she fell. Vyn instinctively reached out to catch her.
As she fell into his arms he noticed what had changed about her. Her hair was now a brilliant shade of leaf green and her eyes were now as violet as his were. She was wearing a suit similar to his but it was definitely made for a woman's body.
Cyrus reformed into his lion self. "The two of you will be legends retold millions of times by every soul on the planet. You will first be called 'Father Time and Mother Nature' for Vyn, you have the power to control time and Melanie, you have the power to control nature but soon new names will be told to fit your ventures. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be another pseudonym for you." Cyrus smiled warmly. "You shall live here for 100 years under my council doing the Will of your Lord. I must forewarn you though. The hundred years will seem much longer, it will seem like 10,000 years. But you will only age ten years. The two of you will be together the whole time until the end when you will finally be able pass the duty on to the next generation of yourselves. Trust me when I say that you will enjoy doing this and I will enjoy becoming your friends once again."
Vyn looked at Cyrus and smiled warmly. Then he looked into the eyes of his soul mate. "This is our purpose and I am glad to live it out with you until we are able to end our lives as dreamers and awake to a reality that is far more grand than we could possibly imagine."
Melanie smiled at him and pulled him in for another kiss.
Vyn whispered into her ear, "I love you so much," and then he turned to Cyrus and asked, "What's first on the to-do list?"
Cyrus smiled and began to talk...
~With that Vyn Fyre has left our world as we know him but he is not gone. He will be here as a spirit of inspiration and will always be thinking of you and praying for you. Wishing you the best. You may see him again someday in his true home that he has been longing for since he was born.~

*Divine wakes up suddenly, feeling instantly reinvigorated*
"What's...going on?"
Although he intended for this expression to be one only within his mind, apparently he had spoken those words without being fully aware, for the unexpected sound of his own voice had slightly startled him.
He sat up in his bed, wondering about things (as was his custom). Why had he woken up so suddenly? Surely he had not been merely at rest because waking up seemed more of a gradual process. Divine closed his eyes and focused hard on the future...
Nothing. For the first time in his existence, he could not forsee events in the near future! How could this be?!
Unless.
Vyn had finally done it! He had finally assumed his role as Father Time! Divine's duty to protect the realm of truth and reality was no longer at risk, seeing as time travel was now only possible by God Himself.
Feeling quite well-rested after the long spell of unconsciousness, Divine felt revitalized. Somehow...he felt more alive than before...as if he were finally free to do as he pleased.
There he sat, twiddling his thumbs, still wondering. "What else can I do, besides defend the truth?" he thought to himself. As he sat there in a state of near confusion, he couldn't help but think about Vyn, and how happy he must now feel to have assumed his proper place in the realm of reality and all that is a part of it. Although these thoughts brought true joy to Divine's heart, he couldn't help but watch as a tear fell briskly from his cheek onto the sheets of the bed. Somehow, he knew that it would be a long, long time before he would see his dear friend Vyn again.

Unknown suddenly felt alone in a world which he knew little of, without anyone to guide him. The feeling soon passed, but it left a sad, aching feeling in him. He then remembered that Raistler was right there. But the sadness remained, like a open wound. How can I live like this? Thinking to himself, he forgot once again that Raistler was still sitting there.

Whatever had happened Raistler was quite unaware... but he felt the sudden emptiness that somehow he had never felt. But with that he felt something was finally complete. Not that it filled the sudden emptiness but the completion was certain. As if something precious was ripped out of the world forever but at the same time completed some important task. It was odd and Raistler could not fit together the pieces but so it was to him. As he stared at his unknown and unnamed companion he noticed that he was staring somewhere off into the distance. He must have felt something similar. After a moment Raistler saw his eyes focus then unfocus again, only to refocus on him but his blank and somehow sad expression did not leave. Worry crept into Raistler but he shoved it away. He had no time for worrying. Raistler suddenly stood.
"I do not know what has happened in the world this moment but it only proves that time is of the essence and I can delay no more. Will you lend me your support friend or must I be on my way?"

Gawayn shook off the trappings which had hitherto subordinated his honor and purpose. He gripped the hilt of his sword and looked to his companions. "I have traveled this far silently, but I speak because we must move on." He looked to Raistler, honored warrior. "You have my support as long as is needed, friend. Wither dost thou wander this day? Lead on, for I will lend a strong arm and doughty will."
Standing tall, Gawayn waited for a response.

As she stood outside the tavern, she was once again furious with herself for not studying her Druid spells better. It really wasn't her fault though, entirely. Even though she was of the Wood Elf race, her mother had refused to teach her youngest daughter the elven language. And the fact that her Druid spell book had fallen off that ledge earlier in her life.
She had intended on teleporting from her Inn in a small community called Mindentarry, to the city of the Half Elfs in the lands of Norrath but because of her lack of understanding fully her spells, she ended up outside a tavern that she had never seen before in her 18 years of life.
She shrugged her shoulders, checked her coin pouch for gold coins then entered the tavern. Might as well have a drink before deciding what to do next.
Opening the door, she stepped through and stood looking at the bar. She pushed her wavy blonde hair away from her face, unknowingly exposing the small scar at her right temple then looked around the room with her blueish green eyes.
She wasn't sure her choice of clothing was a good one but it was too late to wonder about fashion statements. She smiled to herself as she looked down at the white dress she wore and was slightly glad that it fell to her ankles. But she had wished she had worn some form of jacket because her bare arms felt chilled.
Finally, she walked toward the bar to stand at the end and wait for someone to approach her. Always afraid that someone would do something to harm her, she kept looking here and there around the tavern room.
