Just wonder if anyone knows about the 10k cap on overall stats, and whether it still exists?
I heard that if your combined stats (G/W/C) exceed 10k, you get removed from the ranking list, but I was never able to confirm it. Plus, I saw a player with 11k stat on the top 24 skills list as recently as around 2012, so just curious if that rule applies today.
Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

If your combat stat exceed 9999, you will be removed from the list. It doesn't count skill. Skills can be as high as 30k and you'll still be fine I believe.

Thanks for the info! My memory must be wrong then (of seeing a player with 10k+ stats on the list). I guess it's a pity, cos I'd say those really old vets could've exceeded that mark if they tried (especially if they drink at taverns etc). Anyways, I hope to reach that limit some day and see if the rule still applies by then. Much appreciated your help Skywing, happy questing!

The removal however is not permanent, i.e., as soon as your stat drops below 10k, you'll be moved back into the list. If you are actually at 9999, which even when this game is this old, not many players are there (I'm one of the closer ones) you can purposely drop your stat. You can go to the magic shop and buy tonic of unskilling, use it. You'll lose a skill. Then go to the guild skill in the forest and buy a skill, You'll lose about 4 combined stat. That way, you can control your combined stats. But not many ppl I know were at that point.
Sally! is at 8.6k, Sirinnu the guild leader is about 7.5k. Brynn and bunch of his alts are now 7k's up from 5k since two years ago. You're almost at 6.2k. I'm at 9.9k but I won't increase my stat any further than i already had since i'm not playing that much anymore (there's not much to play when you can slay a dragon with barehand, naked) just logging in once in a while.

Haha thanks, I don't think I'm up there with true vets like you and those you mentioned, cos although I started in early 2000's, my play was very on and off. These days I only quest like 10 min everyday, so stats gains are slowing, it could be years before I get anywhere near the 10k mark. And thanks, I have used tonic of unskilling before, not to keep down stats of course, but to readjust the guild slots, and lost 100+ stats in one day. Cheers, happy questing!
