The Magic of DC

Ah, the magic of DC, that keeps people coming back year after year. What is it? There have been plenty of games that I played years ago, but have long forgotten. Not so, with DC; I may go months with nary a thought about it, but it always returns. And I see the same thing with many other people. Some go months, or even years, without visiting, but then there they are.

Lately, though, something feels off. Where is everybody? I have heard horror stories about the ever-rising demands of life, but sure that does not apply to everybody? Surely ten minutes here and there could be spared to drop by and visit? But so many of my old friends are gone, that it almost doesn't feel worth it. I suspect that may be the problem. I no longer see so many of my best friends here, and so many of my best friends no longer see me: therefore, neither of us comes anymore.

So I'm committing to ten minutes a day. Just ten minutes to reply to threads and think new thoughts and dream new dreams. The magic of DC is fading; the dark hordes march ever onward. The only question now, friend, is this: will you come along?

Day 1: I've decided to keep a log here. Today I realized that ten minutes is a short time (I'm at eleven right now), but it's enough to get a few posts in at the Fun & Games. I removed some announcements that either weren't needed or haven't been posted on in almost a year. I suppose I'll also make this an announcement: the more people who see this and decide to come along, the merrier! Anyway, if somebody of importance doesn't like my mucking about with the announcements, it's easy enough to undo my changes. So, yeah.

Day 2: I wish my computer didn't suddenly start lagging whenever I visit. It's hard to maximize your spamming when you have a short amount of time and it takes too long to do things. Anyway, I managed to get a few more posts in today than yesterday, so I'm happy!

Also: good to see you, Deesloop! Hopefully we'll convince a few more people to drop by regularly.

Day 3: I got into some of the games that actually make you think, which is good but slowed me down a lot. Despite this, I'm really beginning to enjoy the whole ten-to-fifteen-minutes-per-day approach to . It's not much out of my busy day, but it's still plenty to let people know that I'm still around. A perfect balance!

Day 4: time flies! It is hard to believe that it's been four days already. I'm enjoying it more and more as I get back into the swing of things, though. Of course, only you, Deesloop, have been around, so far...but I'm confident that will change in the days and weeks to come!

Well thats true and I'm sure that since DC is down for now,
maybe folks will spend the time they would use at DC in here instead.

Just curious if DC is still up and working. it has been yrs since I've logged and I'm sure my hero is long gone.. Are there still active players with in the game and clan..
