Any way to copy/paste my back/pack would be great. I'll even be happy with 'next item' button to scroll through the backpack without leaving the info screen.
For the tiques. Keep 'em around. Put them in a Legendary class, give 'em sweet names(Liglegens Butter Knife). On death the player has a ?% chance of losing the tique. It can be found by someone else. Have a registry to show lost tiques.
Baaa!

I'd like to see some kind of message when you "peer" someone, saying how long it's been since they last logged in and/or saying the date of the last log in which is basically the same.

So there I was, minding my own buisiness, perfectly happy in my personal misery of not playing DC with 12 hours of every day, when who should call me but Baked_Bean! He mentioned you dirty hippies had a discussion going about updating DC (way to go Beany). I shot the idea to him that maybe there was a way to get rid of antiques without hurting those vets who had worked so hard to get them. It would involve a "Hall of Heros", or whatever you hippies wanted to call it, that would be a new list. Here's the general idea: 1. We make Antiques unwearable. This can be easily achieved by making anything with a base skill of X unequipable. 2. We offer a new "quest" that allows you to turn in items to raise your "honor", much like tithing now, based off of how much base skill they have. This "honor" would stack, raising you higher on the new list, with every item you donated. ---------------------- This would allow players with antiques who keep them for their value to still trade them off for huge profits, while clearing out the skill lists and making it much more competetive (although the argument could be made that I am saying this only because of my 1337 skillz that give me an unfair advantage). It would also make PvP viable without "arena suits", because without antiques equipped you might be actualle able to hit me...er...them. Me. You get it. Anyways, it would clean up the skill lists, allow for more balanced play, and overall make me a happy camper. Ideas? Insults? Yo-mama jokes? You dish 'em, I'll take them and tell you why I am right and you are wrong. xoxoxo

Ok, had to post the first idea while I had time, but I am back 2 minutes later for take 2! I didn't see the idea of a new zone pop up yet. Didn't someone hold a contest to design a new zone a few years back? What ever happened to that? Who won? Would love to see the playerbase take that idea and run with it. Also, what about having several "mail resets" a day, and just keep the big one? That way we could make trading a much faster thing. Maybe one "mail reset" every 6 hours? That shouldn't be to hard to code... Has anyone thought of maybe redoing the quests for Her Majesty? Bean is right, those items are stupid strong, and way too easy to take advantage of. I just think it is hasty to get rid of them and in doign so create a whole new class of tiqs. Let's learn from our mistakes on that one. It would be much easier to balance it foward, making other items stronger, rather than stop the creation of what are now powerful weapons. This would also be a help if we wanted to make a new zone that is actually a challenge. What about lowering the cap on stackable items? That would easily get rid of hacked junk. NEW LEADERBOARDS. Cannot express how happy this would make me. We could have one for everything from Most Dragons Killed, to Most Games Won in Court...just saying. It would be awesome. Very excited, kids!!!

Haha most dragons killed! KS would love that! I still prefer the idea of giving any current tiques the attribute 'Antique' and then make it so that if you are wearing one you go on a separate skill list to those without.

I'd just like it if my latest Java update hadn't made my sign in Character name and password look like gibberish. Hence, the reason I rarely get to play anymore. Already tried uninstalling and reinstalling>no good.
Maybe those are gaelic characters?

Awesome! I like this discussion.
Not that I have much to add to it, unfortunately. I like most of the ideas given so far, especially having a separate list for tiques wielders.
I wish I could help with the programming, though. That'd be great.

I have some experience with Java, but I'd definitely be interested in learning more if I had to, to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity. Nice to see you too, Gawayn! Yep, I decided to drop by a little more often. =P What kind of question is that?

I know it's not the season quite, but here's a little something I whipped up on the fly. Ignore the slight grease from the armor...

Thank you very much, Gawayn! It was delicious, despite the grease. And pie is always in season, no matter the design of it. =P
Ah, server maintenance. Fun. Sounds good, just let me know if you need me.

i think the game version is ok now, we are all used to it the way it is....changing current weapons i dont think is a good idea, making them lower or higher att/def/sk is what i mean.....i would like to see new area in the game with much harder creatures to fight....they dont have to really drop anything special for me to be happy....i just want to kill something new!!!!

This would also be a help if we wanted to make a new zone that is actually a challenge. What about lowering the cap on stackable items? That would easily get rid of hacked junk. Hello james! nice to see you again, and still interested to make DC a better game! I agree That a new area with better items, would make both tiqs AND csbs/dsjs loose values, , , instead of just getting rid of em all. (if they were less appealing, players would focus on questing rather than on cheating The game shud stay challenging for as many players as possible. (rather than how it is now, , after 3 months everyone can quests anywhere, wear anything, , , etc.). Thus I also agree that lowering stackables, would help to maintain the whole game chalenging (since its seems not so popular to just remove all pile of hacked junk).... (If someone cant tithe up to level 40 in few days, , he'l then have to actually quest, to reach the higest area, and to wear the best items.... unlike what it is now). Fred's inititial goal of a questing game of patience would retrieve its meaning that way I dont mind much having a quicker mail system or not, , I've been waiting for years to get some items, , so it has never been a big issue to me to wait 23 hours max Many nice ideas so far! Its always fun to think about how to make our fav game better! (or easier )
