I'm about to post a book in another thread () , so I'll make it short here for now!
Yes to new areas, or new challenges, , but first fixing current bugs , dctest, clan lists, and all things I've mailed fred a while ago, , I think it was covering all known bugs.
I'd also like to meet other dcers in an arena! I'l be kind, if I want some challenges it would be best if we have an *arena* suit set, ready for each chary jumping in (or may be related to chary exp level) Between level 6-11 u use that suit, between level 40-47 that suit, etc.).
Then , mostly the stats would make a difference, thus people would quest more stats oriented.
I've learned to accept and to enjoy DC the way it is. I've always been able to find new ways to use the little we have to find all my DC motivations (collecting stuff, climbing up the listings, but also creating sides games with dc; forge, quizz, random dc questions, or mind games. etc)
I know its not that easy for everyone to get a renewed motivation to still play dc. Usualy, when after few months someone got a nice suit, and can kill everything in 1-2 hits, its getting a little boring (specially when some lists are *too easy*, and the skill list, *too difficult*) . One bad flaw at this level is that around 150 guts/w/C , people can quest in the hardest areas and even kill dragons with nice items and good planning !
It shud be way harder to b able to kill the dragon, or azteca foes.
In the past when new areas were created, I specially remember azteca, , it was not too long before the returners , back to try it, got bored of it.
I would personnaly like to see some very challenging places to quest... It would certainly renew my interest naturally, without much efforts (). And other returners would stick around longer to experiment, or work to reach minimum level required to get there. (while most people gets quiclky to level 32-35, we could have 36-41- and eventualy a level 46 area)
I would like to see an area for level 41 players. and with better areas comes new proportionnal weapons (having more items to collect is also something I would enjoy). I understand a certain desire from most dcers to have more choices of head gear or feet, rather than just having new huge weapons. it all depends if we want to improve dc; raising scale level oriented, or more horizontally, similar sized areas, with similars values in stats, or popularity.
Whitout better items it would be way harder to kill these new beasties!
This brings me to the proposition to make tiqs unwearable. I dont much like that idea hehe Not much because I would feel penalized afters years of efforts as dingy, , since I'm not a big trader, I did get mine because I was a good quester ... and inherited a few along the way. I know many peops are still lurking around dc, in hope to get more tiqs, , its the ultimate trader goal to get a nice tiq suit, improve it, and to wear it! Thus I like idea of having 2 separate lists to represent the skill (one with only the stats, one with items on whether tiqs or not). Its ok though to have different scale in the listings (some are easier, some harder, , but I admit, that I tough for 5-6 years, that it would just be impossible to reach top 12, even if I was the best quester .... yet it proved to be wrong, , but I still had to wait many years (b very patient before I reached top 24 skill list) I know many other people interested in dc trading can reach top 24 way quicker than that. (tiqs may be needed) and / or new weapons
tiqs would loose values, if other items were created with better stats, , (as tiqs righties lost lots of value when sacs came). No need new items necessarly, , could be that new Gold rare thing, or just increasing some stats of current items (to make em more apealing, more tradable-collectable, an alternative to current SH, CSB, DSJ, SAC, CG/CJF suit).
By making more items getting closer to tiqs (specially in skills), no real need to make tiqs unwearable, to see players with regular items in the top 24 skill.

Your character is stuck in the arena til someone fitting your level comes around, and want to challenge you.
I new arena screen appears, with 4 kind of pictures, male 1 male 2 female 1 female 2.
Someone is asking you for a duel!
- You are male 2 in the coming fight, get ready!
Same items would be given to both opponent, (because they are both level 32 or more) thus only stats and random factor would determine winners .
Same formula for who strikes first
We've got same choices as usual (fight, charm, (give up fight) guilds skills, and uses)
with similar equipement, even with really high stats on one side, a fight would be few rounds. (anyway I dont mind to penalize alittle those who abused tithing and hacked materials (with such low stats they would hit me only with power hit, and by not much
Player 1 click, when the other player also choose his option and click,
we both see results at same time of the first round.
Then a new round, etc.
Everything with the same formulas as we are used too!
(I dont see why we couldnt use items, and even clan abilities, or items ability, , if uve entered arena with a gladius/berserk, , u could still have some fighters skills bonuses, , it would bring more interest for these items)

why not potential stats gain for loosers or winners, , and an arena listing would b great, I'm sure many players would spend all days there, , , unless it requires 5 quests to enter the arena
All this is fun talk-speculation, but I'm also interested to speak about how to promote DC around the net! It would be fun to have many kinds of upgrades on dc for us all right now, but main objective shud be to have more players around, thus investing at least as much time to help promote dc and explore new avenues (game fans sites, other forums, facebook, twitter, youtube, etc) we could ask fred if it would be possible to help create a promoting plan, or find new popular sites where we could go daily to vote for DC, etc..
