FINALLY!I know this has surely been one of the longest contests in DC-dom, and I apologize about that. However, I want to applaud the seven people who opted to take on this daunting challenge. I enjoyed reading all the stories, and you all have a lot to be proud of. To the results. Dath (props to you for helping judging and additional prizes) and I have talked over the stories and come to a consensus. We judged on quality of writing, usage of rares, development of story, and if you were able to come to some sort of ending. We're very pleased to announce that Aslana_DalMare is the grand prize winner of this writing contest! This was a unique story, not tied to the world of DC, but having its own character. There was some clear planning, so it read smoothly, and had space enough (13 posts!) to develop into a nice tale, full of humor, sadness and hope. Oh, while also incorporating the random set of rares thrown at her. Well done indeed! However, we also want to recognize a second tier of winners for each having great aspects to their stories. Unknown, even though he wasn't able to develop his story, was very different in subject matter and execution. Good use of rares and did an excellent job in developing a quirky story. Sirinnu had a rollicking adventure. Even if the story itself wasn't long, it was a complete tale, integrated the rares seamlessly into the narrative, and perhaps most importantly was great fun to read. Varn did a great job of developing his story, with a dozen posts! This story had mystery, adventure, romance...personally, it reminded me of manga without the pictures. Definitely a story I'd want to read more of! Every other story had great qualities to them, but mostly suffered from not as much development, comparatively. However, everyone will be getting some kind of prize for playing, as I applaud all your work. Thank you everyone for playing!! P.S. I have to leave for the next several hours, so won't get prizes sent till after reset today. Sorry!!

Congrats, Aslana! ;D
Sorry for practically dropping out after just a short while, but I do hope to finish this story eventually, just for the fun of it.
