HOW RARE ITEMS ARE COMPUTED?
when any item is dropped by a monster , or from the wheel of fate, there is always a chance that unid item will turn out to have one or more rare ability (ies) added.
To determine if an item will have a rare attribute or not, the game need to know the weapon power (WP).
When the item is dropped, (before u identify it) the programm compute its stats & if a rare atribute (s) will be added.
Here's how the applet-program compute it:
a random number (between 1-2047) is rolled!
If the random number is BELOW the WP , a random ability is added to that item!!!
Then, the first random number is substracted from the weapon power, and another *roll* is made , and again, if the number is still below the new WP-reference number (initial WP - first random number) another random ability is added...
and so on.... until the rolled number is above WP-modified.
Example:u find a 50a 20s gladius (weapon power = 170)
the first random number must be between 1 and 170 / 2047 for that item to come with a rare attribute.
if the rolled number would be , lets say, 50, , , the applet add a random ability to the gladius, and modify the weapon power (170-50 = 120) , and another random number is thrown; that one must be below 120/2047, for the applet to add another random ability to the gladius (making it a double rare, or a would-be doublerare). And the same process continue until the random number is above WP (or WP modified).

Now, what ability will be added when the random number is below WP?
I'm not 100% sure here, , but heres the results of my observations:
3 kind of attributes can be added :
1- scrolls: few enchants scrolls, or flamme scroll, or lucky, bless, glow OR few oils.
2- Rare Attributes : BLAST , BLIND, DISEASE OR PANIC
3- Clan abilities : well, any of all the various clan abilities , bandit, quick, clever, etc.
Heres where I'm not 100% sure, but it seems to me that scrolls are added more often than rare attributes, and rare attributes; more often than the clan abilities ones.
So when the rolled number determines that something must be added to the item, , it means another random roll shud be made to determine if its gonna be only few natural enchants scrolls, , Blast or Catseyes. According to my experimentations, roughly 45% of the time it will be a random scroll (category 1), 30% a regular rare items (category 2) and 25% of the time a clan rare ability (category 3)
when the category is known, , , all attributes have the same chance to be *picked*. (ex. if the applet decides to add something from catefory 2, the chances are equal between Panic, Blast, Disease and Panic to be added).
P.S.
If an item normally came with an attribute (i.e. Silver Gladius all came with blind), , and blind is picked thru the random roll, , the applet will take out the natural blind, and replace it by another Blind, that one starting with a capital letter.
Before game version 1.6 (*), it was possible to get a SG without blind for that reason, , now, the applet never take out natural abilities, but turn em with a capital letter, so we can know something rare occured here) .
thats why we find many Amini Clubs with things listed as
bless
*L*ucky
(Lucky was re-addded because the numbers computed that a Lucky scroll must be added here)
if u see
bless
oil (2)
Lucky
It means 2 rare things affected that weapon, 1- oils naturally added, than, 2- lucky to be readded, .
Theorically , that second example is as rare to find than another club with the same stats stating
bless
lucky
Bandit
Strong

even if I'm not 100% sure on all the details here, I hope it can be usefull to some players interested to understand how the game works.
If someone could help me shed light on the parts where I'm not 100% sure, let me know please
