This posting is very late, and for that I apologize. This document is the result of a HW project of Orrv's and mine from Jan-Feb. Thanks to all who helped us along the way. We did it for the clan! ;D

Wizards & Warriors Code of Conduct
The Wizards & Warriors (WW) site is open to all who currently play or have played Dragon Court (DC).
The following Code of Conduct is meant to be elastic but also intuitive, and applies to both clan members and visitors alike. Some of this Code of Conduct is based on the general Dragon Court Code of Conduct (www.fiends.com/Company/Conduct.jsp).
1. Free speech is highly encouraged at WW.
2. Sexual content, behavior and language have no place at WW. Remember that the chief age group of this game was children at one time. If this site was an American movie, please keep the rating at or below PG-13.
3. Undue harassment will not be tolerated.
4. Cheating will not be tolerated.
5. Behave politely and responsibly.
*Respect Others. This is our most important code! This is a community where everyone is equal. We enter WW from across the world, from very diverse backgrounds, beliefs, values and perspectives. As part of an online community, we are going to be different. We will view things differently and say different things. Because of this, we ask you to be more forgiving (tolerant) than you might normally like to be.
If you see or read something that offends you, please try to remember that in almost all instances, there is no harm intended. If you are unable to accept the situation you can certainly use the resolution methods described below.
*We ask also that you think of how your words or actions might impact others. If someone responds negatively to something you have done or are doing, you may have inadvertently caused them some grief. It is understood that you have no bad intentions but please think about how your actions could have caused the reaction it did. Try to look at things from their point of view, not just your own.
*Sometimes all it takes for some quick moderation for both sides to better understand one another. It is unreasonable to assume that we will all be best friends at WW, but the expectation is to extend respect to all members regardless of personal feelings.
If you are upset or offended by another member's actions, please follow the simple process below. This will ensure any issues are dealt with in a fair and equitable manner.
Wizards & Warriors Resolution Path
The decisions of the WW site and clan are made by the Clan Leader, Co-Leader and Council (all further references to clan leadership will be referred to as “Council”). These decisions are carefully made to ensure a safe and fun place for every member. Individual members and visitors do not dictate changes to the clan or site. Likewise, individual members and visitors do not decide what is an acceptable interpretation of the Code of Conduct. It is understood the entire website cannot change solely for one person.
1) Contact a Council Member with your complaint via Private Message (PM). If you have evidence to support your claim, please include it or add a link to it. Having no evidence makes reaching a fair judgment much more difficult.
jackthebear.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=members&view=staff
2) The Council Member will bring your complaint before the Council, who will discuss the matter. Please realize that in the daily chaos of our lives, it may take some time for the Council to think over the matter. You will not be ignored. The Council may also ask for more explanations or examples if they feel more information is necessary. Please be patient.
3) After the Council has reached a decision, you will be contacted with the results.
4) In rare circumstances, if you feel the Council's decision to be unjust, you may appeal directly to the Clan Leader. His judgment is final.
Very important things to remember:
*All complaints are to be considered private matters. This means that you keep silent about it while the Council is making its decision. Clans of the past have gone through great strife because the group effectively dissolved into backbiting factions of distrusting, accusative cliques. This cannot be allowed to happen at WW.
The Council decision may take some time. In an effort to reach a fair decision on the matter. The Council will try to gain as complete an understanding as possible. This is about what is best for the site and the clan as a whole. Often, this means that a compromise is reached. A compromise means that there are no winners and no losers. You may not see everything you want in a compromised decision, but realize the party you are issuing your complaint against likely isn't either. Such is the nature of the middle ground.
In all likelihood, most members should never have the occasion to butt up against these rules. As stated earlier, these guidelines are meant to be intuitive and elastic. However, if something does arise, this gives all participants in WW, member and visitor alike, a means to peaceably and respectfully resolve our differences.
A few final things to remember:
*DC is a game, played to have fun.
*Be careful with the assumptions you make, especially online where it is so easy to misunderstand.
*There may be more than one explanation in every situation.
*Consider that you may be the one misinterpreting.
*Try to exercise calm, mature judgment.
*You are very welcome to add to the fun but not at the expense of others' fun.
Happy Questing!!!!
