LOL, This is just beautiful....1 page of stories and 2 pages of brow beating! ;D You Go Gawayn! A man after my own (brickmaster 2000) heart KS, good to see you, but sorry to hear about your grandmother! Good on you for taking care of her. Gotta, go with Gawayn on this one....get your story in!! Or we're sending the Green Bean Bag Chair of Death (GBBCoD) to chew your ankle off. And ORRV!!! There is just no excuse for this! Get your face outta that Jambalaya and get to story telling....Sheesh...and you're already famous for your stories! Poor Gawayn is just asking for a puny little tome of no particular panache... And, with the rate at which you're losing appendages...best be quick about it. Toki, congrats on the job review! Really! No surprise there, though, you're always willing to help out here in DC too! Hey, did you ever Officially get your MOY title? I have to admit though, that when I read "exceeds expectations" it made me wonder just exactly WHAT their expectations were? LOL

I have to admit though, that when I read "exceeds expectations" it made me wonder just exactly WHAT their expectations were? LOL Obviously not very high if Toki did the best in the building... ;D but my story eh? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Well, once upon a time, back in 1999, a young man (me) decided to join a game called dragon court. He enjoyed the game very much, and after a few years had collected a small wealth of decent items, only to be stolen in a scam (scamming was a problem in those days). Afterwards, he quit, and vowed never to return. But he did anyway, in 2008 King_Smitty started a new account and joined W&W; Awesomeness has prevailed ever since. And then he lived happily ever after.... To be continued.

Sorry, K_S. . .
- Well, ok, I'm not really sorry. I'm gonna have to call "not good enough" for your story. I'm interested in particularly how you found Dragon Court. Search engine? Friend? Magic 8 Ball? Keep it continuing!

I'm interested in particularly how you found Dragon Court. Search engine? Friend? Magic 8 Ball? Keep it continuing! oh if thats all it takes. Waaaay back in 1999 a kid named Smitty searched for a cool browser based RPG on a search engine (unknown to him since it was like 10 years ago) and found DC. The end.

My story is similar to some of yours. I was introduced to this game by a good friend. Sometime in '98, can't remember exactly. he was a good fellow this guy lol had a heart of gold he did. worked with kids too. anyway he tells me about it, I go find it. I was using a nasty old PC but boy this game was fun. I had no idea about clans or RO's site or anything but questing. I loved questing even then. I was lucky back then too. My gear was amazing for its time. Then my friend says hey, I started a clan , you have to join, it gives us extra powers and stuff. The more guys we got the better and we get stuff. I think... cool! I think 1 or 2 other of his friends were also in DC at that time. I say cool, I had maybe 20 or 25 alts so I get them all in. I can't remember the name of the clan. I can hardly remember the names of some of my main alts. hehe. I think he wanted an Irish or Welsh or Scottish sound to the clan and named it accordingly. I still didn't really understand about all that stuff. I was just happy to quest and find stuff. I remember the game going through at least one big change. I logged in a charry one day to find all manner of things different. Again I don't remember everything but it was crazy and new and exciting and away I go questing again. The numbers were a lot bigger it seemed. I couldn't do some of the things I could before and the weapons stats seemed to have gotten much larger and other things were odd. I didn't care. I had no idea about upgrades to the game or who even made the game. I just liked questing. My friend told me about enchanting so I was able to stop using base-stat gear. My 1.5k glad became a truly awesome thing and made the game even better. I had horrid stats with few wits so 'chanting was a chore. I used every scroll I could find. I know my friend gave me a lot. I blew a couple of things up and just about freaked. All that work and losing that nice weapon and awwwwww darnit !! I found bigger and better stuff. I still had no idea about personal stats or how to quest properly or whatever. I just went out and bashed everything I could. I learned that some things it was better not to bash but I didn't run from anything I could kill. One day I logged my main and almost cried. He was stripped clean. Nothing equipped and pack and storage cleaned out. I logged each of my charries to find the same thing. I was devastated. My friend told me about hackers and what they do. I was sad for a month and then forgot about DC. I had some time in late 2008 and DC just jumped into my head. I googled until I found it and here we are.

Orrv, what an amazing story! A nice reminder that for all the other aspects of DC and WW, questing was and is still the central aspect of the game, what we all fell in love with one upon a great while. I wish I had more time to quest! A great, great story. Definitely worth the wait, orrv.
