i thought of one recently,it could be implemented to tripop's monopoly game. Not sure how to explain this but basically this is how it goes.First we need a gamemaster, the gamemaster selects a place to quest(for example hie brasil). The gamemaster will select a series of tasks that he will perform in that place. For eg,Task 1:find a spikey,Task 2:quests with 10 harpies and get all the gold apples one gets from the 10 etc.Participants will follow the instructions and send all the stuff gathered to the gamemaster with a letter.Whoever, gets the items closest to what the gamemaster had gatherered will win the position.(gamemaster will provide a letter as a title deed). For example in the above tasks, the gamemaster had a 14d spikey and 28 apples.Whoever had the closest to that amount will win the place.Whoever wins the most places will be the ultimate winner.
Variant 2:We have a certain number of participants for the game. Each day one person will get eliminated as the person who deviates the most from the gamemaster task.So using the above example again, suppose person b has a 24d spikey and 30 apples and deviates most from the gamemaster. Therefore he gets eliminated. Each day we have a winner who will recieve a letter from the gamemaster(granting him immunity from elimination if he gets last)(survivor style). However, this immunity can only be used if u suspect u may get eliminated,as in the letter must be sent to the gamemaster along with the items.Supposing the person really gets last, the second to last person will then be eliminated. This continues until we have the last participant standing and win the ultimate prize. The last challenge(involving the final 2 participants) may take longer.
Feel free to comment on the idea.Im not sure if i can implement it in the near future.Personally i feel the advantages are 1.its pretty original and at least not implemented in the game of dc 2.letters can go to k_s again
disadvantages 1.need lots of time and effort to implement and if its on a large scale 2.subjective way of judging who deviates and who is the nearest to the gamemaster's haul.
Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

Very good ideas DeathHell, I like the "task" type game. Perhaps when you get time, write up a certain task or two, I don't mind being the gamemaster We will get prizes stocked up and start it right away! I would say make it easy for participants, so that their involvement isn't too much of a burden.

How about a King of the Mountain-type game? Where people announce which area they are gonna quest in. Then they send all their spoils from that area (minus any gear they would want to use) to the score-keeper and the winner claims that area as his territory and gets a prize. They would win based off a point value. GEAR Crystals= 50 points Major Silvers=30 points Minor Silvers=20 points double rares/high tiers=15 points mid-tiers=10 points low tiers= 2 points ADVENTURING SUPPLIES Diamonds=100 points Fairies=50 points Aging/Youth Potions=40 points Serpent Scale Soup/Nectarine/Gold Apples=different points per area
The score keeper would post who is king of which mountain and their, "Strength." In order to conquer the mountain, the next person would have to beat the previous high-score. Prizes to be determined by area and length of reign. What you think?

It would be their choice-sacrifice a crystal or silver for a possibly better prize/bragging rights, or use that crystal or silver for alts or trading.

i like the KOTH idea
my spin on it would be pretty similar, except they would have to quest for unids in that area, and then claim it. but then again that sounds much like the monopoly game...nevermind..
I VOTE FOR MONOPOLY AGAIN!!!! I'll make another sweet board...

Scavenger Hunt: to promote questing Every day for a month the gamemaster/mistress posts the clue of the day on the TP a couple of hours before reset: Scavenger Hunt #1 You have one day to send: 20 d Serpent Scale utur (no rares allowed) TO: XXXXXX Or Scavenger Hunt #2 You Have one day to send: 13d Rams horn utur (no rares allowed) TO: YYYYYYYY Then everybody who sends you a 20d serpent scale (on the right day) gets a note from gamemaster with the (character name on it) worth 1 point. Notes are not transferrable between players or alts. At the end of the month whichever character has the most points wins the prize. By asking for the average stat (no rare), you can be pretty sure that no one has the item already sitting in their pack; they will have to go quest for it. And since the notes only count toward the character that sent in the item...lower level players...or players with few alts have the same chance as higher level players and/or players with many alts. Also, since you have to send the item in within 24 hours you will have to quest for it and won't be able to quest with one character and then mail multiple items to other characters in time to qualify for that days hunt item. The downside is that this will be labor intensive for the gamemaster(s) who will be in charge of sending out all the notes, but that duty could change from day to day or week to week.

A contest tread... sound fun.
So during a summer last year, a game theorical game comes to my mind while 3 student association runners at my school pestered me to vote for them.
So I told them something like below
Each of you (say their names are A, B, and C) pick a whole number from 1 to 100, in order. A picks first, then B, then C. Then I will take out a random number generator (my TI 84 plus) to randomly generate a number. Whoever is closest to my number win my vote. And you cannot pick the same number as the previous person. If you do, the you will be automatically eliminated. BUT, there is a catch. They do not pick for themselves. The number they pick is the number for the next person. A picks for B. B picks for C. C picks for A.
Sound like an interesting game doesn't it? Is there a Nash equilibrium for such a game?
